Leading Sports Professor believes GPA grant should be given to Ladies association

Former Monaghan player and now leading sports professor, Niall Moyna believes that the grants been made available for the Gaelic players association should be given to the Ladies GAA.

The Scotstown man was speaking after a recent study revealed that 42% of secondary school boys were fitter than girls with the fitness levels widen as they get older.

 

Round 2 of the Lidl Ladies league throws in this weekend  with Monaghan and Cavan having home games.

Mayo will be the visitors to St Tiernachs park Clones on Sunday in Division 1 at 2pm while Cavan will welcome Clare to Templeport at 2pm in Division 2.

The Northern Sound represtatives will be hoping for better fortunes this weekend having suffered defeats in the opening games, Monaghan were defeated by Dublin while Cavan went down to Westmeath.
