Leona Maguire fell back to five under par at the Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic as she shot a three over par 75.
Maguire had shot a course record 64 for round one, however came undone on the seventh on the second round, after a double bogey.
Maguire had been solid throughout her opening round, save par on all but the seventh.
While not recording any birdies on her card, a bogie on the par three 17th moved Maguire back out to three over for the round and five under par for the tournament.
“I didn’t give myself many chances today” explained Maguire afterward.
“On seven, I wanted to hit a seven-wood, my caddie wanted me to hit an iron and I hit an iron in the water, which was quite annoying to finish with.”
“I didn’t give myself enough chances and didn’t hole any putts, so no birdies today. I need to play a lot better tomorrow and hit my irons better to give myself some more chances.”
Germany’s Esther Henseleit shot a six under par 66 to move joint top of the leaderboard. Spain’s Nuria Iturrios shares the lead after a round of four under par, also moving to nine under.
Maguire finds herself in fifth place four off the lead with Germany’s Olivia Cowan on eight under par and compatriot Karolin Lampert on six under.
Lisa Maguire shot a four over par 76 to move to seven over par for the tournament.
