Minister Heather Humphreys has said Liberty Insurance’s decision to expand in Cavan is a vote of confidence in the region.
Liberty Insurance will roll out the jobs over the next three years, across a range of areas.
Complementing the pool of talent in Cavan, she encouraged people to apply for the vacancies which are to be advertised immediately.
Speaking to Northern Sound Minister Humphreys stated this demonstrates the government’s commitment to employment in the region:
It’s hoped the 120 new jobs at Liberty Insurance with help keep money in County Cavan.
CEO of Liberty Insurance, Tom McIlduff, said the new jobs are an important development for their business operations in Ireland.
In June of this year, the company announced that 16 jobs were to go after an “operational review”.

Local TDs and representatives have widely welcomed the announcement with Senator Joe O’Reilly stating The Government has been working hard to make the border region an attractive and competitive location in which to do business, and that work is paying off.
Brendan Smith was also glad to hear of the jobs however, he said that more work is still needed especially as we near Brexit for people throughout the region.
