Likely that Monaghan and Cavan will receive an increase in roads funding for 2017

It looks likely that Monaghan and Cavan will receive an increase in roads funding for the coming year.

That’s according to Local Fianna Fail Senator Robbie Gallagher who raised the issue of local and regional roads in the Seanad.

A delegation of local Fianna Fail representatives met with Transport Minister Shane Ross earlier in the year to discuss the matter and were assured that Monaghan and Cavan will be made top priority when funding for 2017 is allocated.

Senator Gallagher says that this is a positive sign that Monaghan and Cavan will be looked upon favourably when funding is allocated.
