Three senior Ministers have refused to rule themselves out of the running to replace Enda Kenny as party leader.
Frances Fitzgerald and Richard Bruton have yet to declare their intentions.
Health Minister Simon Harris says he’ll consider his options when the ‘leadership of Fine Gael’ position opens.
Meanwhile Fine Gael Cavan County Councillor Peter McVitty says IF Enda Kenny does decide to step down, there are capable replacements in the Fine Gael to fill his shoes.
He also says issues such as Brexit, homelessness and hospital waiting lists will determine who he casts his vote on to replace Enda Kenny.
But he also believes Enda Kenny should stay in the job until St Patrick’s Day.
