Local councillor says visibility splays need to be relaxed

A Monaghan councillor says that the regulations regarding visibility splays in planning applications need to be relaxed.

Fine Gael Councillor Sean Gilliland proposed the motion during a discussion on the draft development plan for Monaghan. He said that he is aware of the reason they are in place, but feels they can be too restrictive in some cases.
