Local DCU professor blames increased scree time for poor heart health in teenagers

A local university professor is blaming a rise in screen time for poor heart health among teenagers.

A new study from Irish Life Health has found the cardiovascular age of some 15 year olds is similar to that of 55 to 60 year olds. The study also shows that pupils are becoming more inactive in the lead up to the Leaving Cert.
