Local Deputy says Arlene Foster needs to step aside to see progress in the ‘cash for ash’ scandal

The only way that things can progress in the ‘Cash for Ash’ scandal is for Arlene Foster to step aside and let an independent investigation commence.

That’s according to local Sinn Fein TD Caoimhin O’Caolain who thinks that the First Minister needs to do what’s best for the government.

The Democratic Unionist leader has defied repeated calls to stand down pending the outcome on an independent investigation into her role in a botched renewable heat scheme that has landed Stormont with an estimated £400m overspend.
