Local Gardaí warn dog owners to control animals after attacks on sheep

Local Gardaí are appealing for dog owners to control their animals after sheep were killed recently. The incident happened in the Laragh area of Cavan on February 28th when a sheep in lamb were attacked by a group of dogs.

Local Gardaí have joined the farming organisations in their calls for dog owners to keep their pets on a leash, particularly at this time of year when sheep are particularly vulnerable.

They’ve said that people need to be responsible and help prevent “mayhem and savagery” to defenceless sheep and lambs.
