Local principal advises parents not to enforce strict regime of study

A local principal is advising parents not to enforce a strict regime of study on students.

Principal at St. Louis’ Secondary School in Monaghan, Margaret Conlon, says that while some pressure has been lifted following the decision to cancel the oral exams this year, the uncertainty still remains surrounding the written exams which could cause stress for students.

She has complimented the many teachers who have embraced online teaching methods but stated that it can’t replace the physical presence classroom teaching.

Speaking to The Joe Finnegan Show Margaret urged parents not to increase pressure on students and had this advice:
