Local representatives welcome recent upgrades to Monaghan Bus Station

Local representatives have welcomed the recent upgrades to Monaghan Bus Station.

A proposal was put forward in 2015 by Sinn Fein’s Sean Conlon to Monaghan County Council for the need to improve the station on the North Road in Monaghan Town.

After a campaign lasting over 4 years the installation of a Real Time Passenger Information Panel, as well as heightened kerbing to improve accessibility have been implemented.

Speaking on The Wider View Councillor Sean Conlon stated that reliability and punctuality will be vital in the overall improvements but that this progress is welcome;
