Local senator calls for telephone allowances to be extended for those cocooning

A Monaghan senator has called for telephone allowances to be extended for those cocooning.
Robbie Gallagher said the elderly and vulnerable that are living alone shouldn’t have to worry about the cost of living during the pandemic.
Earlier today, Minister Regina Doherty announced that the fuel allowance scheme will continue until May in response to the crisis.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Robbie Gallagher said a phone call can be vital.
