Local Senator says the Government have been too slow to react to Brexit

A local Fianna Fail Senator says the Government have been too slow to react to the UK leaving the EU.

It was stated yesterday that Brexit could cause 40,000 job losses and food exports could be hit with tariffs of up to 50%.

The warning comes from Department of Finance Officials who say they have only four full-time staff in Dublin working on the implications of the UK leaving the EU.

Senator Robbie Gallagher spoke to Northern Sound News, he says if there are to be job losses due to Brexit, the border region will be hit the hardest.
