Local TD says government must fund disability services in upcoming budget

Sinn Féin Spokesperson on Disability Rights and Older People Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin has said that the government must make provisions for disability services in Budget 2020.

The TD said that the disability sector will face a funding and operational crisis if the government fails to act.

The representative also said that four disability umbrella organizations have all reported funding difficulties in recent months, as well as having to deal with extensive waiting lists, with many people in urgent need of access to services.
