Bus Eireann services in Cavan and Monaghan will be impacted upon by next week’s all out strike.
The National Bus and Rail Union say they’re not optimistic, ahead of talks aimed at averting the strike at Bus Éireann.
The NBRU and SIPTU are opposed to the company’s cost-cutting plan, which will see the reduction of staff pay and bonuses.
From Monday, Bus Éireann services will cease to operate indefinitely, however school bus services will continue.
Dermot O’Leary of the NBRU spoke to Northern Sound News. He says the strike will continue for as long as Bus Éireann hold their current position.
