Man charged over death of Stephen Marron remanded in custody

James Tomany has been remanded in custody to reappear in Court in the new year in relation to the death of Castleblayney man Stephen Marron. The 34 year old, from Clay Road in Keady, Co Armagh, appeared via videolink at Cloverhill District Court today after being charged with dangerous driving causing death and endangerment. Gardai have also made an appeal for a driver of a car that may have seen the incident to come forward.

Stephen Marron was killed when his parked car was hit by another car. He was laid to rest on Saturday. Garda Michael Devlin was injured during the incident.James Tomany is to reappear before Cloverhill District Court on January 2nd, via videolink, for charges arising from the incident on Main Street, Castleblayney last Tuesday night.

Meanwhile Gardai are looking to speak to the driver of a southern registered Silver Peugeot 308, who may have information on the incident. The car, believed to be driven by a female, approached Castleblayney from the Keady side, travelled up Main Street and towards the Shercock Road at around 11.20 on the night Tuesday November 27th.
