Up to seventy per cent of small and medium enterprises in Cavan and Monaghan are missing out international customers because they haven’t a way of selling online.
Only three in ten SMEs in the local region have an online checkout, or an option to do transactions on the web.
A survey by IE Domain Registry found the majority are afraid to make the move, or haven’t the time to offer the service.
It’s estimated that online sales are worth 12.3 billion euro annually.
