Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys has traveled to New Zealand as part of an Enterprise Ireland trade mission.
The minister attended the Fieldays exhibition which took place in Hamilton, which showcases cutting edge technology and innovation within the agricultural sector. She also gave a speech at the event, highlighting the strong ties between Ireland and New Zealand’s agricultural sector.
The event showcased a number of Irish businesses including Dairymaster, Abbey Machinery and local business Combilift. The minister met with the Prime Minster of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern at the event yesterday, and presented her with a handwoven scarf which was made by local designer and hand weaver Liz Christy from Monaghan.
