Mixed fortunes for GAA ladies teams

In Division 1 Monaghans 1-17 to 3-12 defeat to Donegal in Termon yesterday (Sunday 26th) sees them rooted to the bottom of the league table on 3 points with one game remaining against Armagh who are just above them on 6 points.

The Farney side will need a victory over the Orchard county on Sunday next to ensure their Division 1 status.

It is better news in Division 2 for Cavan as they now sit top of the table after their 2-13 to 2-03 win over Sligo yesterday.

The Breffni side are on 12 points along with Westmeath and Laois who will provide the opposition in the last round of games.

It will make for an exciting final round of games in the division as 7 of the 8 sides can still harbour thoughts of making the league semi finals.
