Monaghan Chief Fire Officer urging people to check up on elderly neighbors during winter months

It’s fire safety week and the Chief Fire Officer of Monaghan Fire and Civil Protection has urged people to look out for vulnerable members of their community.

Dermot Brannigan has also encouraged everyone to have a fire safety plan in place.

The Chief Fire Officer said that it was vital to spread this message as we enter the winter months, as this period sees the highest number of fire-related fatalities.
