Monaghan Face Tyrone in Ulster Championship

Monaghan face Ulster Champions Tyrone in their opening fixture of the 2018 Ulster championship.

Malachy O’Rourke’s side were the last team out of the hat and were given a tough fixture against Mickey Harte’s defensive outfit.

If O’Rourke’s side can progress past Tyrone they will be set for a semi-final date with Fermanagh or Armagh.

While Cavan were drawn in a preliminary round fixture against Donegal and will face Derry if they progress to the quarter-final.

Mattie McGleenan’s side will face the 2012 All-Ireland football champions who last won the Ulster championship in 2014.

Roscommon and Leitrim were paired with each other in a potential 2018 Connacht Senior Football championship semi-final.

Leitrim face the potential banana skin of New York in what will be the opening game of the 2018 football championship.

Roscommon await the winners from New York in the semi-final.

Mayo and Galway drew each other in the quarter-final round with the winner set to play the winner of the tie between London and Sligo.

The winner of the Ulster championship joins the Leinster championship winners in Group two of the Super Eight’s.

The runner-up of the Connacht and Munster championship will play a winner from round four of the qualifiers to decide the remaining two championship slots.

While Longford were given a home draw against Meath in the Leinster Senior Football quarter-final. If Longford progress they face the All-Ireland champions.

Dublin were given a bye to the Leinster quarter-final and will face the winner of Offaly and Wicklow with the winner of that tie facing Longford or Meath.
