Monaghan finished as runner-up in Ireland’s Best Kept Large Towns

Monaghan finished as runner-up in Ireland’s Best Kept Large Towns competition for 2018.

The award ceremony was held recently at the Harbour Commissioners Office in Belfast with delegates from towns and villages across Ireland in attendance.

All entrants were marked on cleanliness, the outward appearance of buildings, the presentation of roads and public facilities and the natural environment.

Ballina in County Mayo beat off competition from Armagh and Monaghan to be crowned Ireland’s Best Kept Large Town.
