Monaghan forward Conor Mc Manus would like to see the GAA get some form of a championship played before the end of the year.
Speaking on the JF show, the 3 time All star, noted it would be “nice” to have some hope of getting back on the playing fields, especially as other sports appear to be returning….
Unofficial reports are stating that the GAA may allow walk ways around club grounds to open from June 8th.
There has been much debate in recent weeks about allowing facilities be made available with a date of July 20th penciled in for their return, but many high profile figures have seen this as been to far away.
A meeting of the Covid 19 Advisory Group within the GAA took place at the start of the week with it now been believed that clubs can apply to have walking tracks around their premises opened once HSE guidelines can be adhered too.
There is no immediate plans to make fields or other facilities available.
