Monaghan Gardai urging public not to attend stations for non-essential requests

Gardai in the Shannonside-Northern Sound region are urging the public to call in advance if they need to attend stations for any reason.

Officers have reported an increase in the number of people attending in person at reception areas with non-essential requests during the coronavirus outbreak.

Gardai are anxious to maintain respectful social distancing measures and are asking the public to stay away from barracks in order to comply with health and safety regulations
