A Monaghan GP says we need to take precautions to prevent another surge in Covid-19.
Dr Illona Duffy said she had eight new cases in her surgery since yesterday, which proves the virus is still “out there”.
Eight of the 10 cases confirmed across the country yesterday were located in Cavan and Monaghan. Cavan remains the county with the highest incidence rate in the country today.
She confirmed to Shannonside Northern Sound that there continues to be clusters in factory settings, which need to be controlled to prevent a further spread.
Dr Duffy told The Joe Finnegan Show that we need to understand how important it is to continue following public health advice as the country reopens.
