Monaghan native in China says we must stay in our homes to fight coronavirus

A Monaghan native who was on lockdown in China for over ten weeks says Irish people need to follow the latest measures that were announced yesterday.

Mikayla Fox says we have the “benefit of hindsight” and emphasised the importance that we stay in our homes.

The advice comes after Taoiseach Leo Varadkar asked the public to “stay at home if at all possible”.

Mikayla says that China is slowly returning to normal and bars, restaurants, and shopping centres are beginning to reopen.

However, there are still a lot of security measures in place.
