Monaghan town secondary school issues advice on Coronavirus following ski trip to Italy

A Monaghan town secondary school has issued advice regarding Coronavirus following a recent school trip to Italy.

St Macartan’s College contacted the HSE after a number of students and teachers flew out of Milan Airport during the mid-term break on a school ski-trip and on private holidays.

In a statement, the school said it’s following advice from the National Public Health Emergency Team to not close the school, and is advising anyone who was in affected regions to self-isolate and contact their GP if they develop flu-like symptoms.

The school says students who weren’t in the affected region should attend school as normal.
