Monaghan yoga teacher says yoga is not a religion following Bishop of Waterford statement

Yoga is not a religion but is “something to help us feel better in our bodies and to help us feel calmer”.

That’s according to Monaghan-based Yoga teacher Emma Costello in response to a claim by the Bishop of Waterford.

Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan said that “Yoga is not of Christian origin and is not suitable for a parish school setting, especially during religious education time”.
