A mother and son remain in Garda custody after being arrested in connection with the abduction and torture of Kevin Lunney.
Three people were arrested by Garda this morning.
It has been almost two months since QIH Director Kevin Lunney was abducted from near his Fermanagh home, assaulted and dumped on a rural Cavan road.
Security Correspondent with the Irish News Allison Morris says QIH Directors haven’t been living normal lives since the attack:
A man in his 20s, a second man in his 40’s and a woman in her 50’s were arrested earlier this morning following the attack on the Quinn Industrial Holdings director.
They are being held in three separate Garda stations in Kells, Cavan and Monaghan.
The men can be held for one week, while the woman can be held for three days.
These arrests are being described as one the most significant developments in the investigation into the attack on Kevin Lunney to date.
