Mullahoran advanced to the Ulster Intermediate final with victory over Banagher on free kick’s. In an epic encounter where first the Derry men would not cede to the Cavan champions, Mullahoran having led by four points with 15 minutes to play. However Banagher fought back to force extra-time. In extra-time it was Mullahoran’s turn to fight back with Enda O’Reilly’s equaliser sending the game to double extra-time, only for Peter Hagan’s final kick of the game to send the match to free kick’s which Mullahoran won 5-3.
Philip Brady’s 14th minute goal had sent Mullahoran into a one point lead, however the 14 men of Banager weren’t disrupted with the Derry men exchanging scores with the Cavan champions.

Mullahoran led by one point at half-time thanks to Brady’s goal, two points from Enda O’Reilly, and a point from Peter Paul Galligan and a Cormac O’Reilly free.
Mullahoran led by four points as the game entered the final quarter, but four scores in a seven minute period saw Banagher tie the game, 1-8 to 11 points.
Enda O’Reilly looked to have secured Mullahoran a place in the final with three minutes remaining, but Tiarnan Moore’s point bang on full-time sent the game to extra-time, finishing 1-10 to 0-13. Sean McKeogh then saw the line for a red card offense in the first minute of additional time.
Peter Hagan and Gavin O’Neill gave Banagher a two point before, Shane Sheils landed Mullahoran’s first score of extra-time in the final minute of the first period.
Philip Brady levelled the scores four minutes into the second period. Mark Lynch and Shane Farren restored Banagher’s two point advantage with Enda O’Reilly responding to send the game to double extra-time. The tiredness didn’t affect the action as Shane Shiels and Philip Brady gave Mullahoran a two point lead, with Shane Farren cutting the deficit in the first of two five minute periods.
With the game set for a Mullahoran victory, Banagher’s Peter Hagan sent the game to free kicks with the final kick of the game on a final score of 1-16 to 0-19.
In a dramatic free kick compeititon, Niall Maher missed Banagher’s third free kick and with Mullahoran’s five takers, Enda O’Reilly, Fintan O’Reilly, Gavin Brady, Philip Brady and Cormac O’Reilly all successful, Mullahoran advance to the Ulster final.
