Navan Hospital has one of the highest numbers of people on trolleys today

445 people are on trolleys at hospitals across the country this afternoon.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation – Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded with 47 people in need of a bed.

University Hospital Limerick is next with 40 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.

Locally, Our Lady’s in Navan has 35 people waiting for a bed, with 11 in Sligo Regional and two in Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda.
