Cavan County Council has welcomed two new vehicles worth €550,000 into its Fire Service and Civil Defence Unit fleet.
A new fire appliance has been acquired for Baileborough Fire Station.
The vehicle itself cost the Council €350,000 and the equipping of the fire engine brought the final cost to around €500,000.
A new Ford Ranger Jeep has also been presented to the Civil Defence Unit which was funded from the dormant accounts fund.
