News that green cards won’t be needed for Irish drivers travelling to the UK has been welcomed.
The development means UK authorities will accept insurances discs from Ireland as proof of holding a valid policy.
However, drivers travelling from Northern Ireland will still need a green card travelling to the EU in the event of a no deal Brexit.
Anyone importing a car from Britain or Northern Ireland will also need a green card, as Benny Sheridan from Sheridan Insurance in Killydoon outlined to Northern Sound News:
