The investment, under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme will see 24 old and derelict buildings repurposed.

The funding is part of a €6.2 million investment nationwide under the Department’s CLÁR Programme.

The initiative is aimed at supporting them to deliver peace and reconciliation efforts in local communities.

The Dormant Accounts Fund enables unclaimed funds from accounts in credit institutions in Ireland to be utilised to support the development of individuals who are economically or educationally disadvantaged, or those affected by a disability.
