A local councillor has raised concerns around traffic in the Doohamlet area.
Sinead Flynn called on Monaghan County Council to prioritise traffic calming measures in Doohamlet following ongoing concerns from residents regarding excessive speed through the village.
The Sinn Fein Councillor says that she has received numerous complaints from residents since her election in June 2024.
She noted that many residents are now calling for the installation of speed ramps or similar traffic calming measures before a serious accident occurs.
Speaking to Northern Sound Cllr Flynn said she has requested that the Roads Section prioritise the matter and assess the installation of speed ramps or speed cushions within the village.
