The exhibition will take place virtually and many of the projects have been inspired by the covid-19 pandemic, with a quarter of all qualified projects delving into health and the impact of Coronavirus.

In Cavan, 13 projects have been shortlisted, including seven from Colaiste Dun an Rí, and three from St Bricin's Vocational School and Bailieborough Community School respectively.

Several of the projects are Covid-inspired, including two from Colaiste Dun an Rí that examine the wearing of masks and the effects they have.

Meanwhile, six projects from across three schools have been shortlisted in Monaghan.

They include four from St Louis' Secondary school, two of which look at the health benefits of listening to music, and one a piece from Castleblayney College and Our Lady's Secondary School.

The Exhibition offers a chance to win one of the most coveted awards, with a substantial prize fund and the BT-YSTE perpetual trophy, as well as over 200 prizes for individuals, groups, and teachers.
