Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital after a short illness.
He served his country and the cause of peace overseas as Company Srgt (C.S.) in the Irish Army and member of United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in Congo, Sinai, Lebanon.

Oliver died surrounded by his family. He is survived by his children David, Sean, Brian, Helena and Nuala; the mother of his children Colette; his grandchildren Billie-Jade, Matthew, Tara, Anna, Dylan, Isobel, Grace, Aaron, Luka, Una and Noah; his brother Paul; his son in law Micky, daughters in law Ger, Camilla and Nanako; his many nieces and nephews of the Mac Neill, Craig and McKay families; and his many other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Oliver will be resting at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Rd., Cavan Thursday evening from six o’clock until eight o’clock. He will be brought from there Friday morning at 10.15am to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones to arrive for eleven o’clock Requiem Mass with interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
