Pay parking suspended in Monaghan town due to Covid-19

Pay parking is being suspended in Monaghan town due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Monaghan County Council confirmed to Northern Sound News that free parking will be provided from this morning until further notice.

On Tuesday, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced that all non-essential businesses were to close, and people were to limit their movements.

Northern Sound News has contacted Cavan County Council to see if it will be introducing similar measures.
