A permanent Garda presence is expected to be reinstated in Emyvale in the coming months.
The village’s Garda Station was destroyed in a suspected arson attack in October.
A man in his 30s was arrested as part of the investigation but was subsequently released without charge.
Since then the area has been covered by regular Garda patrols but no Gardaí have been based in the area.
Local Superintendent Pat O’Connell says the OPW and Gardaí are working together to source alternative accommodation.
