Plans for a care home in Carrickmacross to be considered at Council Meeting

A planning application to build a three storey care home in Carrickmacross will is to be considered at an upcoming Council
meeting.

A spokesperson for Monaghan County Council explained that the current application does not meet the criteria of The County Development Plan.Therefore it must go before the elected members.

A Council Spokesperson said the public may make submissions to this application up to 30th January, a report will be prepared and brought to a following Council meeting, for consideration.

The facility in Cloughvalley will compromise of 90 beds with ancillary accommodation to include day rooms, dining rooms, kitchen, laundry, staff facilities and more.

The development will be accessible from a new road recently approved that will serve the industrial development on the adjoining lands.
