An appeal has been lodged with An Bord Pleanála over the decision to refuse planning permission for an off-licence area in Cavan.
Tempside Limited, trading as Polonez, applied to Cavan County Council for a development at Pullamore, Dublin Road. The company wants to change the use of an existing retail unit to part off-licence use.
The premises would be occupied by Polonez, which is an ethnic retail unit, while beer, spirits and wine would also be sold. After the council refused permission for zoning and traffic reasons, Polonez appealed against it to the planning board, which will make a decision in four months’ time.
