There are calls for Patrick Kavanagh's poetry to be returned to the Leaving
Cert curriculum.
Cathaoirleach of the Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD Aidan Campbell made the
proposal to write to the Minister for Education after the recent reopening
of the Patrick Kavanagh Visitor Centre in Inniskeen.
The new attraction has digitised the poets work and created an
interactive learning experience.

Patrick Kavanagh was last on the syllabus for Leaving Cert English in 2012.

beneficial to both the students and the centre:
