The executive of Cavan County Council is meeting with councillors this afternoon to discuss a proposed housing development in Cootehill.
It's understood there's a split among the local Municipal District members over certain details of the social housing plan.
In August, a Part VIII Planning Notice was advertised by Cavan County Council to construct 28 houses at Magheranure, Tullygarvey, Cootehill.

It was due to be signed off at the most recent MD meeting, but was adjourned to allow for an in-depth discussion.
Northern Sound News understands that having the number of houses reduced by four, and constructing an alternative entrance are among the proposed changes.
