Protestors against proposed schools merger criticise FG candidate

Protestors calling for a stop to plans to merge two secondary schools in west Cavan have hit out at a local Fine Gael candidate.

The picket took place outside the campaign office of Sandra McIntyre in Cavan town as it was being officially opened by Tánaiste Simon Coveney.

Protestors from the Save our Schools campaign for St.Bricin’s and St.Mogues had gathered outside.

They’re opposed to the plans from the local ETB to close both schools and build a new school in Ballyconnell.
