Publican Brendan Fay will contest local elections in Cavan-Belturbet

Publican and Chair of Project Belturbet, Brendan Fay, will contest the local elections as an independent in the Cavan-Belturbet area.

Brendan stated he wants to ‘Make Cavan Great Again’, by protecting rural areas, including the maintenance and upgrade of the both St.Bricin’s College and St.Mogue’s College at their current locations.He also voiced concerns over the possible return of a hard border, calling on the government to instigate an ‘economic resilience’ programme for businesses and trades people struggling to deal with these threats.

The publican promises to continue his work in relation to securing investment for West Cavan as he begins his campaign ahead of May.
