Ramor Macra is representing the region at this year’s Queen of the Land competition.

The annual 3-Day event, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary, began yesterday in Offaly, this year hosted By Offaly Macra Na Feirme.

Approximately 2,000 people are set to attend the event over the weekend where young women compete for the title of “Queen Of The Land” based on their appearance, personality, rural knowledge and eloquence.

This year teacher, Kayla Gillick, from the Ramor Macra club is the Cavan representative, who will take to the stage this weekend.
