The manager of Rape Crisis North East says the need for financial support for the charity "couldn't be more urgent".

Grace McArdle warned the charity is facing a "crisis situation" and a huge deficit at the end of 2020 because it has been unable to hold public fundraising events.

Rape Crisis North East has experienced an increased demand for services and Grace says it is critical that the charity receives funding into to support victims who reach out for help.

The charity has recently launched a new fundraising campaign fronted by Andrea Corr, which calls on people to text "crisis" to 50300 to donate €4 towards Rape Crisis North East.
