Renowned comedian Kevin McGahern has said that he would definitely consider doing another film based on Cavan.
The Gowna native has made a name for himself on the national and international front as a comedian, play-wright and television personality. Most recently he was involved in the making of ‘No Party for Billy Burns’, a comedic film based on life in County Cavan.
The film had its world premiere at the Galway film festival last year, but made its Cavan debut at the end of December to packed theatres. Kevin says both himself and Director Padraig Conaty believe there are more stories from Cavan to be told.
Due to popular demand, screening dates of ‘No Party for Billy Burns’ have been added for Cavan. Extra screenings are taking place tonight and next week (Thursday Jan 10th and Thursday Jan 18th) in the Odeon in Cavan.
