Scenario based training is needed for Gardaí along the border in light of extended Covid restrictions.
Brendan O’Connor is the Vice President of the GRA and he says their members need a clear plan for the weeks ahead with regards to travel restrictions and adequate training.
He thinks there is a risk the work load will increase for those already under pressure and if mandatory quarantining is introduced extra resources need to be allocated instead of asking the same people to do more.
