Scotstown Bow Out of Ulster Championship

Kilcar 1-16

Scotstown 1-6

Scotstown’s Ulster club campaign came to an end after Donegal side Kilcar scored a 10 point victory in Clones.

The three-in-a-row Monaghan champions struggled to live with the Donegal champions even after Conor McCarthy’s fourth minute goal.

Kilcar’s Paddy McBrearty scored seven first half points with Eoin McHugh finding the net as Kilcar led 1-10 to 1-3 at half-time.

He set up his brother Ryan for an easy score who then added a quick second, shifting easily onto his right foot under no pressure, to make it 1-10 to 1-03 at the break.

Kilcar continued their second half dominance with Scotstown only able to add three second half points as Kilcar progressed to the Ulster Championship having add six second half points to win by 10 ponts.
